Joins Southwest Florida Yachts Charter Fleet

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla., August 6, 2010 –A Sea Ray
40 Motor Yacht – Keim Away II – has joined the
charter fleet of Southwest Florida Yachts for up
to six adults to explore the Gulf and inland
waters of the famous Sanibel-Captiva area on the
south west coast of Florida
Barb Hansen, owner/manager of Southwest Florida
Yachts, said Keim Away II has elegant styling and
roomy sleeping accommodations for six in two
cabins and the open main salon. The cockpit
doubles as an entertainment center with a wet
bar/sink with refrigrator, AM/FM/Stereo and a flat
screen TV. Three other flat panel TV sets are
located in the cockpit area and two cabins.
Keim Away II has central air and heat with
separate cabin controls plus other
comforts-of-home features like washer/dryer, two
electric VacuFlush toilers, two showers, hot and
cold water and a central vacuum system. The first
mate enjoys a large galley equipped with stove,
microwave, refrigerator and freezer. The captain
employs the latest in marine instrumentation and
controls including GPS/chartplotter, autopilot,
depth sounder, radar, and VHF radio.
Power is supplied by twin Cummins/MerCruiser
407-hp inboards that provide a cruising speed of 8
to 12 mph and fuel consumption of only 10 gallons
per hour at 1,500 rpm The dinghy, an inflatable,
is powered by a Mercury 6 hp outboard. The vessel
also has a bow thruster for easier and precise
docking.
Hansen said Kem Away II will be docked with 11
other power cruisers from 28 to 43 feet at
Marinatown Marina in N. Fort Myers. Marinatown
Marina provides quick cruising access, via the
Caloosahatchee River, to the sheltered Gulf ICW.
The company’s sailing charter fleet is based at
Burnt Store Marina in Punta Gorda.
Extra Cruising Days
Keim Away II charters for $3,789 for five days in
the high season and $3,030 in summer and qualifies
for extra cruising days and discounts. Charters of
three days or more between January through June
2011 qualify for an 11 percent discount.
